By using Smart Practice Rig, you agree to these terms. Please read them — they're written in plain language and kept as short as possible.
By downloading or using Smart Practice Rig (the "App"), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including free and paid subscribers.
Smart Practice Rig is developed and operated by JL Systems LLC, a Nebraska limited liability company ("we", "our", or "us").
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial music practice. You may not:
Some features require creating an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Smart Practice Rig offers optional paid subscriptions:
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple or Google directly — we do not process payments ourselves.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's account settings at any time.
We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.
Certain AI-powered features have monthly usage limits enforced server-side:
Limits reset on the 1st of each calendar month. Unused allowances do not carry over.
You agree not to use the App to:
Song Coach uses a third-party AI service (Anthropic) to generate music analysis and practice suggestions. AI-generated content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. We do not guarantee its accuracy. You are responsible for verifying any music theory or practice advice before relying on it.
When you use the Stem Splitter feature, you represent that you have the legal right to upload and process the audio file in question. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable copyright law. We are not responsible for any copyright infringement arising from your use of this feature.
Uploaded audio files are processed by Lalal.ai and deleted from our servers immediately after processing is complete.
All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, code, and design — are owned by JL Systems LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your practice data (sessions, routines, notes) remains yours. We claim no ownership over content you create within the App.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JL Systems LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
