Smart Practice Rig is built with your privacy in mind. We collect only what is necessary to run the app, we do not sell your data, and we never record your playing or audio.
Smart Practice Rig is developed and operated by JL Systems LLC, a Nebraska limited liability company. References to "we", "our", or "us" in this policy refer to JL Systems LLC.
Account data — When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Practice data — Sessions, exercises, routines, schedules, streaks, and song analysis history that you create within the app.
App settings — Your preferences, instrument selection, and notification settings.
Subscription data — If you purchase a subscription, we store your subscription status and entitlement (Free, Pro, or Pro+) and a purchase identifier, managed through our payment processor RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your credit card or payment card details.
Usage data — Event data about how features are used (e.g. screens visited, features tapped), collected via Mixpanel to help us improve the app. Where you are signed in, this data may be associated with an account or device identifier. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.
Crash reports — Automatic error reports collected via Sentry to help us fix bugs. These include device type, OS version, and a stack trace.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We choose providers that take data protection seriously.
Your account and synced practice data is stored securely on Supabase servers with row-level security enforced — meaning only your account can access your data. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
Audio files uploaded to Stem Splitter are stored temporarily in a secure bucket and deleted immediately after processing is complete.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete all local data at any time from Settings → Clear All Data within the app.
To request full account deletion including all server-side data, use the in-app account deletion option, visit our Delete Account page, or contact us at support@smartpracticerig.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Smart Practice Rig is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@smartpracticerig.com.
This section is provided under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT signals, and Smart Practice Rig does not currently respond to them. We do not track your activity across third-party websites over time, so DNT signals do not change what we collect.
Third-party tracking. We do not allow third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activity across different websites when you use Smart Practice Rig. The analytics and infrastructure providers listed in Section 5 process data only to operate and improve this app.
Review and changes. California residents may request to review the personal information we hold and request corrections or deletion by contacting us at support@smartpracticerig.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For minor changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes — such as new categories of data or new third-party processors — we will provide prominent notice within the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
